Every aspect of our work at LAMP involves health
promotion.
We focus on preventing disease, reducing illness and
enhancing the quality of life in the community. We do
this through education, skills building, and advocating
for change.
Our programs and services help you learn ways to improve
your health and to stay healthy. LAMP recognizes that
our health is determined by: the quality of our air, the
security of our housing, and the level of our income and
education.

Health Promotion can be delivered in many different
ways, a few examples are:
- Community education
- Advocacy
- Programs and activities
- Community economic development
- Community support initiatives
- Lifestyle and behaviour change information
- Community organizing to address the social
determinants of health
